A fire occurred on the southside of the Fayetteville square during the early morning hours of Sunday, Feb. 8.
The Sunday morning fire on the square in Fayetteville has destroyed the buildings housing the Skin Refinery, Mercantile on Market, Young Vintage and The Dance Academy.
Heavy equipment has been brought in by Fayetteville Fire Chief Davy Bergman to knock down any of the remaining structure in order to contain any additional damage.
The Fayetteville Fire Department was joined by the Tullahoma Fire Department and Lincoln County Volunteer Fire Rescue.
It’s too early to determine the entire damage and businesses impacted.
“We will be working with businesses in the coming days,” said City Administrator Kevin Owens.
“There were two firemen injured and being treated for their injuries,” Owens said. “The injuries are not life threatening.”
