Marshall County, Ky.–Two-legged or four-legged, the Marshall County Fire & Rescue Squad responds to all.
The Rescue Squad was paged out for a dog that fell through the ice at a local resort and could not rescue itself. Upon arrival, a few local citizens were already out with a pontoon and breaking ice to get to the dog. Squad members let those citizens keep doing what they were doing until they reached the dog and then had them bring the dog and the boat to the dock where we were staged, awesome work by all.
The dog was cold and wet but will be okay.
