By Shannon McFarlin News Director

Camden, Tenn.–Benton County Sheriff Kenny Christopher and his staff started this morning with prayer that they find Alma Fowler, who has been missing from her assisted living facility in Camden since Wednesday. A Silver Alert for her was issued Thursday.

Christopher confirmed that Ms. Fowler is deaf and non-verbal. The 75-year-old is 4’11” tall and 110 pounds.
“She also has really bad health issues,” Christopher said. “She’s never left the property before, so this is a real mystery. She has really bad COPD and can’t walk very far.”
Ms. Fowler was last seen near Herrington Place and was wearing a green puffy jacket, tan jeans, white snow boots, and a white headband. She is believed to be traveling on foot.
At 9 a.m. this morning, Sheriff Christopher said he was on his way back to the scene to join the search again. “We’ve made no progress so far. We’ve eliminated some things, but haven’t made progress in finding her.”
Search parties of dozens of people have been looking for her, including deputies, rescue squads from the area, THP, TBI, TWRA and they’re using an assortment of equipment including drones and helicopters.
