Dyersburg, Tenn.–Rescue Update: Meet Tate. She’s safe.
An update from the Dyersburg/Dyer County Human Society:
After being stuck in a culvert, this sweet girl was successfully rescued thanks to teamwork between the Dyersburg animal control officer, Humane Society, local partners, and everyone who helped make it happen.
When Tate first arrived, she was extremely scared.. growling and unsure of everything around her (which is completely understandable after what she’s been through). But with a little patience, a warm bath, and some gentle reassurance, she quickly started to relax… and we discovered the absolute cutest little personality hiding underneath all that fear.
Right now, Tate is decompressing and settling in. She will be going through our normal intake process, including vaccines and medical evaluation, so she is NOT available for adoption at this time.
We’ll be sharing her journey as she learns to trust, heal, and adjust — because stories like hers are exactly why we do what we do.
