Memphis, Tenn.–A Memphis police officer is in critical but stable condition at Regional One Medical Center after he was shot last night and a statewide search is on for the suspect.
Danell Maxwell, 40, is wanted for attempted first-degree murder of a Memphis Police officer, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said in a Blue Alert sent out statewide around midnight.
Maxwell is considered armed and dangerous. He was last seen wearing dark clothing and an orange and green reflective vest. He was armed with a silver handgun. He is 5’10”, 180 pounds.
