Graves County, Tenn.–Three people from Louisiana were arrested on numerous charges after a wild chase through three counties Monday. The chase involved a pickup truck that was hauling another vehicle on a trailer. Both the pickup truck and trailer were stolen. The three were charged with theft and numerous drug charges.
The trio were arrested when the pickup truck and trailer got caught in the fencing of the Phoenix Paper Mill.
The pursuit went through Graves, Carlisle, and Ballard Counties.
On March 02, 2026, at approximately 5:30PM, Graves Sheriff’s Deputies attempted to stop a silver 2014 Chevrolet pickup that was hauling another vehicle on a trailer. The stop was attempted near the Ky 80 and bypass intersection just south of Mayfield. The reason for the stop was that the trailer was suspected as being stolen from the state of Indiana.
The driver of the pickup sped away from deputies leading them back through Mayfield, and eventually out onto and outbound on Ky Hwy 121 North. With the loaded trailer, speeds rarely exceeded 70 MPH.
The pursuit led deputies through the Fancy Farm community and then westbound on Ky Hwy 80 and into Carlisle County. The suspect travelled down several county roads, through the Kirbyton area, St. Charles area, and back out and onto Ky Hwy 121, again heading northbound. The pursuit then continued onto Us Hwy 62 into the Bardwell community and then onto Ky Hwy 51 towards Wickliffe. Deputies from both the Carlisle and Ballard County Sheriff’s Offices, and KSP attempted spike strips at multiple locations, however the suspect would leave the roadways to avoid them.
Once entering the area of Wickliffe, the suspect abruptly turned into the Phoenix Paper Mill, entering into the plant portion of the property. Once running into a dead end blocked by fencing, the suspect rammed through the fencing and steel posts. The trailer caught some of the fencing and the driver was unable to get the vehicle free. Deputies approached the suspect on foot ordering the driver to stop at gunpoint. At this time, the driver complied, turned the truck off. He was removed from the vehicle and taken into custody. Deputies also found a from seat passenger as well as a rear seat passenger.
The Chevrolet pickup truck was found to have been stolen from Pollock, Louisiana. The trailer that was loaded with another vehicle was found to have been stolen from Anderson, Indiana.
During the pursuit and while still in Graves County, suspects in the vehicle were throwing contraband from the vehicle which was later recovered and found to be Methamphetamine.

There were no injuries to anyone at the paper mill, officers, or suspects.
