Leadership Henry County spent the day learning about Arts & History of Paris and Henry County this week.
They started the morning at the Paris-Henry County Chamber office hearing from County Historian David Webb, who shared his nowledge of Henry County’s past.
From there, they drove over to the Henry County Archives and learned more about the rich history and important documents housed there. Stephanie Tayloe and Beth Fay are truly a wealth of knowledge and always eager to help anyone who walks through their doors.
Next, Paris Mayor Kathy Ray gave us a tour of the downtown mural projects, each one telling a piece of our community’s story and adding so much beauty and character to downtown Paris.
They wrapped up the afternoon back at the Chamber with a delicious lunch from Mockingbird Catering, followed by an art project led by Brooke Ray, who is always a ray of sunshine and so encouraging to everyone around her.
Next up for Leadership is Tourism Day, where they’ll spend the day being tourists right here in our own community.
