A combination of outstanding character and behavioral traits earned two dozen Union City Elementary School students a trip to Discovery Park of America last week.
Twelve students from both the 3rd and 4th grades were chosen for the honor after exhibiting qualities that included work ethic, kindness, and attendance.
Faculty and staff nominated the honorees to travel to DPA and enjoy a fun-filled day after their admirable behavior over the third nine weeks of the 2025-26 school year.
Many of the students wore purple and gold to proudly display their UC Schools spirit as they explored the many exhibits at DPA. They were joined by school personnel, who chaperoned the day’s activities.
Among those honored included:
Malaysia Cook, Malaysia Rice, Max Lattus, Emma-Faye Rucker, David Sims
Serenity Ellison, Ally Gray, Everardo Acevedo, Wills Ashburn, Ainsley Cannon, Meredith Bird, Win Billingsley
Jinay Patel, Braxton Phillips, Blakely Quinn, Ava Reynolds, Conor Rice, Junior Pastor
