Three Union City High School students recently performed at the Tennessee Music Educators Conference in Nashville.

Seniors Landon McAdams and Trey Jackson, along with junior Annie Burcham, were selected to sing after a challenging audition process that included students from all of West Tennessee.

Landon and Trey performed with the TTBB choir, while Annie sang with the SSAA ensemble.

The auditions required students to sing excerpts from selected choral pieces and demonstrate sight-reading skills.

“Being chosen to sing in the All-State ensembles is the highest choral honor a student can earn in the state, longtime UCHS chorus teacher Allison Buter said.

“I am extremely proud of them.”

Additionally, two other UCHS students, Colton Gary and Nathan Finch, were named alternates for the ensembles this year.
