Murray Man Charged With Threatening Law Enforcement, Local Businesses

Murray, Ky.–A Murray man was arrested on a charge of terroristic threatening against law enforcement and local businesses and employees.

On April 25, 2026, the Murray Police Department was made aware of threats posted on  social media. An investigation was immediately initiated, which determined that an individual  had made threats to kill law enforcement officers and carry out attacks against local businesses  and their employees. 

As a result of the investigation, an arrest warrant was obtained for Anthony Cain, age 56, of  Murray, for Terroristic Threatening 2nd Degree. During the course of the investigation,  Cain was located in Montgomery County, Virginia. With the assistance of local law enforcement,  Cain was taken into custody without incident and is currently being held pending extradition to Calloway County, Kentucky. 

The Murray Police Department would like to thank the Montgomery County Sheriff’s  Office for their assistance in the apprehension of this individual. The Murray Police Department  would like to remind everyone that any person charged with a criminal offense is innocent until  proven guilty in a court of law.
