Union City, Tenn.–Wings of Hope takes flight—honoring the past while inspiring a new generation to remember. Discovery Park of America will host a program to remember Tennessee’s Holocaust Survivors and Liberators.
This interactive program, led by the Tennessee Holocaust Commission, invites students and families to explore Holocaust history and its connection to Tennesseans through guided learning, personal stories of survivors and liberators and a symbolic butterfly remembrance effort. Organizers aim to share 1,000 butterflies statewide by June 30, 2026, honoring lives forever changed.
Join them for “Wings of Hope: Remembering Tennessee’s Holocaust Survivors and Liberators” at Discovery Park on Friday, May 15. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is free with park admission or membership.
