
Buchanan, Tenn.–A Buchanan home was a total loss after a fire this morning.
At 8:40 am, the Paris Landing Fire Department, Paris Fire Department, Puryear Fire Department, Henry County EMS and Henry County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to 1125 Dogwood Thicket Road in Buchanan for a report of a structure fire.
Paris Landing Chief Reggie Coles said arriving units found a mobile home fully engulfed in flames.
The owner Molly Armor said they were sleeping and woke up to find the house on fire. Both she and a male subject were able to escape without injuries.
Coles said, “While the exact cause is undetermined it appears to be accidental. A car and a van were also heavily damaged by the fire. She said they had no insurance.
The Red Cross has been notified. Damage is estimated at $25,000.
Paris Landing responded with 3 trucks and 7 personnel, Paris responded with 1 truck and 2 personnel, Puryear responded with 1 truck and 3 personnel. Units were on the scene for one hour.
