On Friday, May 8, 2026, at approximately 11:50 a.m., a major structure fire occurred at Sigma Renew 360, Inc., located at 170 Mark I Drive in Henry, Tennessee. The facility, a polyethylene pellet manufacturing plant, has been declared a total loss.
The cause of the fire remains undetermined and is currently under investigation by the state fire investigator.
Multiple fire departments remain on scene and will continue suppression operations through the evening and overnight hours. The Henry Fire Department requested mutual aid from departments across West Tennessee, with most Henry County departments assisting in water tanker shuttle operations.
Residents are urged to avoid the area due to ongoing emergency response activity and heavy vehicle traffic.
Smoke from the fire is expected to persist for the next 24 hours and may impact local air quality. Sensitive groups—including individuals with asthma, COPD, or heart conditions—should take precautions and limit outdoor exposure.
Updates will be provided as additional information becomes available
