Paris, Tenn.–It was a big week as the Paris Rotary completed its presentation of scholarships to local students. David Flowers, Darrin Thompson and John Etheridge presented scholarships totaling $16,000 to three Henry County High School students.
Finley Homesly received a $3000 Barbara Muzzal Paris Rotary Club Heritage Scholarship. The scholarship is in memory of the first woman to become a Rotary Club member in 1993.
The second scholarship was W.O. Inman Scholarship for $3000 was presented to Carson Greene. Greene is a member of the ACT 30+ students. W.O. Inman was a long time educator in Henry County who created an endowment that has been awarded annually by the Rotary Club.
The final scholarship presented was the Richardson Family Trust scholarship created by Dr. Bobby Richardson to honor Dr. John Richardson in 1997. Ava Jade Hutcheson was presented with a $10,000 scholarship for the first year and which is also renewable for a total of four years as long as the recipient meets established requirements.
