Camden, Tenn.—Benton County Sheriff Kenny Christopher was overwhelmingly re-elected to a second term with 69 percent of the votes.
Christopher defeated former Sheriff Tony King by a vote of 3,197-1,375. Christopher was running as an Independent, while King was a Democrat.
Christopher said, “I want to say a sincere thank you to all of you that took the time to vote. I am truly honored and humbled to be your choice to serve as Sheriff for the next 4 years. Thank you so much for believing in me and the department. I look forward to serving you. God be with us all!!!”
