Henry, Tenn.–A shed containing chickens was destroyed in a fire in Henry Monday morning.
The Henry Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched on a report of a structure fire at Mark I Drive at 11:28 a.m. The 17 chickens perished in the fire.
Training Officer Dustin Odom happened to see the fire and made it to the scene before being dispatched. When firefighters arrived, they found the shed fully involved. The shed is only 20 feet away from the home and the fire was extinguished with the only damage to the home being some melted siding.
Firefighters suspect an electrical issue was to blame.
