McKenzie, Ky.–Bethel’s Cayden Edmonson has signed an agency agreement with Free Agency Basketball. Edmonson played his high school basketball at Webster Co. in Kentucky.

This past season he averaged 16 points and seven rebounds per game at Bethel. He was selected to the first team SSAC All-Conference team and was also selected to play in the NAIA All Star Game. Edmonson shot 59% from the field which was 9th overall in the nation. His junior year he helped Bethel reach the NAIA Sweet 16 and was named to the SSAC All-Conference team. He averaged 14.3 points and 7.3 rebounds per game his junior year. He scored 1,295 points in his college career at Bethel. “David (David Gonzalez FIBA Agent) and I are extremely excited to have Cayden join the family. He is the type player that is hard to find in today’s game. He is a physical low post scorer and rebounder and we feel he will be very attractive to European teams. He also is a hard worker who got better every year at Bethel and we feel his best basketball is ahead of him. I played with Coach Britt in college and really trust his word about players and we know he has been well coached” Michael Stinnett (Free Agency Director of Scouting).

Coach Britt commented, “It has been an honor to be able to coach Cayden these last four years and see his growth not only as a basketball player but as a student and person.  I am proud that he will have the opportunity to continue his basketball career, this time on the professional level, something he has worked very hard to achieve.”

Edmonson expressed his thoughts. “I just think it is such a blessing to sign with this agency and I’m blessed by the Lord to have this opportunity in my life. I want to thank Mr. Stinnett for giving me this opportunity and to also thank Coach Britt for working with me for these past few years.”

Edmonson finished his collegiate career 19th on Bethel’s all-time scoring list.
