Springville, Tenn.–The Tennessee National Wildlife Refuge has initiated a series of daily virtual activities encouraging families with children at home to connect with nature during their time of social distancing and quarantine. All activities are designed for use in and around the home using this beautiful springtime to learn and explore their outdoor world.

All daily activities are posted Monday through Friday at 1 pm on the refuge Facebook page at www.facebook.com/tennesseenwr.  Each Monday at 9 am a calendar for the week’s activities are posted listing any materials needed.

Using the hashtag #refugefromhome will not only get you the Tennessee National Wildlife Refuge’s daily activities, but also several other refuges posted virtual activities.

“We have a lot of bored families out there, so we wanted to help out by encouraging creativity while learning about nature with these simple activities.” said ranger Brittany Smith. “We have so many ideas, and hope this helps in some small way.”
