Paris, Tenn.–Henry County High School Principal Dr. Michele Webb announced Thursday afternoon that the high school’s Graduation Ceremony will be held as originally scheduled at 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 15.
Meanwhile, this year’s Senior Prom has been tentatively rescheduled for Saturday, June 13, 2020, at Sandy Creek Event Center.
The Senior Banquet also has been postponed for the summer, but that date has not yet been announced.
Dr. Webb said the 2020 Senior Class will continue to be honored in a variety of ways, including the billboard on Mineral Wells Ave., the Stadium Lights displays at Patriot Stadium, Community Door Decorating. Seniors also will be honored in the June issue of PARIS! Magazine and on Froggy 103.7.
Henry County High School’s 51st Commencement Ceremony will be held as originally scheduled on Friday, May 15th, at 7:30 pm, in Patriot Stadium. Following guidance released today from the Governor and Tennessee Department of Education, our inclement weather policy of limited ticketing for each graduate will be used to help maintain appropriate social distancing. Each graduate will receive up to 4 tickets for their guests. A survey link in the Class of 2020 Google Classroom will be uploaded on Friday, April 24th, for students to indicate how many tickets they need. The graduation ceremony will be live-streamed so family and friends who are not in attendance are able to enjoy the event. For students who choose not to participate in the ceremony, alternative arrangements will be available. Detailed information regarding traffic, parking, seating, and other specific social distancing guidelines will be distributed the week prior to the ceremony. We are excited to celebrate this milestone event with adjustments to maintain the safety of our graduates and their families.
Henry County High School Prom 2020 has been tentatively rescheduled for Saturday, June 13, 2020, at Sandy Creek Event Center. Student Ambassadors are working to acquire a new date for Senior Banquet, and we will update you as that is finalized. Information on tickets to each of these events will be sent later.
