Huntingdon, Tenn.–The 2020 Huntingdon High School Seniors will graduate at 6 p.m. Sunday, May 17, at Paul Ward Stadium.
Huntingdon Special School District Director of Schools Pat Dillahunty said in a Facebook post the decision was made following guidance by the Governor’s office, State Department of Education and local health officials. The goal is to celebrate the seniors’ accomplishment while protecting the well-being of the community.
The graduation had originally been set for the gymnasium, but in order to allow space for social distancing, the venue was moved to the stadium.
The 90 graduating seniors will be allowed up to six guests and they will be placed 6 feet apart on the home side of the stadium.
The rain date is 6 p.m. Monday, May 18.
