Paris, Tenn.–Larry Ray of Paris will be presenting a multi-month series of presentations at the Paris-Henry County Heritage Center based on his popular Civil War articles that were published in PARIS! Magazine. It’s called “The Long Road To Paris”.
His first presentation will be on Colonel Robert Caldwell, his mansion and family on August 18. The Caldwell home took 5 years to build and was completed in 1846. Originally the grounds were around 3,000 acres, it is one of the oldest and grandest homes in Henry County.
Come hear his presentation and learn about a mysterious secuded room in this home plus many other interesting stories of this famous family.
The schedule is: Caldwells, August 18; Jack Hinson Confederate sniper, September 15; Governor Porter, October 13; Battle of Paris, November 17; Battle of Paris Landing, December 15; Fort Heiman, January 19, 2027.
