
Union City, Tenn.–Set sail on the South Lake during the Cardboard Boat Regatta this Saturday, May 9. Student teams (ages 12-18) can register for free, while all other teams (adults and adult/youth) can register for $35 today until race day.
Free cardboard will be available to be picked up at Discovery Park. To schedule a time for pickup, please email John Watkins at jwatkins@discoveryparkofamerica.com.
The event also includes an Instant Cardboard Boat Regatta, where teams build boats on-site from 9 to 10:30 a.m. using only materials provided by Discovery Park, including cardboard, box cutters, duct tape and plastic wrap. The instant regatta fee is $15 for participants not competing as part of a student team or in another category.
