Puryear, Tenn.–Artist Dan Knowles and members of his hardy crew were at work installing the first two panels for the new city of Puryear mural. Lane and Peregrine Knowles, Dan’s grandkids, along with Dakota Hoagland helped with the installation, for which an official ribbon-cutting was held during Puryear Day festivities Saturday. The mural is located in the heart of Puryear and contains the images of notable people from the town, including the James Littletons, Col. Caldwell, Robert Morris, Dr. Adolphus Paschall and his wife, Rosamond Clark Christenbery, Rosan Gallimore (Rattlesnake Annie), Bun Wilson and Byron Gallimore.
