
Paris, Tenn.–Shane Barker will be the guest speaker at Monday’s Henry County Memorial Day program on the courthouse lawn in downtown Paris. Barker organizes local fishing tournaments for veterans.
At 8 a.m. Monday, May 25, the local veterans’ services organization has a full program lined up, with Barker as guest speaker; Susan Parker singing patriotic songs; Tennessee State color guard performing a mock military service; Mark ‘Sarg’ Grogan explaining the symbolism of the Missing Man Table; and local veterans’ organizations laying the wreaths at the veterans’ monument on the courthouse lawn.
Everyone is welcome to attend.
Following the program, a flag walk will be held at the American Legion, with a two bell ceremony and lunch.
