Laurie McGuire has been named as new chief financial officer at Security Bank and Trust Co. in Paris.
The bank’s board of directors and CEO Brian Kissell announced the promotion.
McGuire, who has been with the bank for more than 25 years, was promoted from chief accounting officer. She is a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Martin with a degree in accounting and is a licensed certified public accountant.
“Laurie’s experience, leadership, and deep understanding of our organization make her the ideal choice to serve as CFO,” said Kissell. “We are excited to see her step into this role and continue contributing to the bank’s growth and success.”
McGuire succeeds Steve Trask, who has served as CFO for the past 33 years.
During his tenure, the bank has grown from $100 million in total assets to $1.6 billion. Trask will transition into a new role as vice chairman and will continue to serve on the bank’s board of directors.
“Laurie has played a critical role in the management of the bank’s growth over the last decade,” Trask said. “Utilizing her experience and depth, we all look forward to her leadership of all financial aspects of the bank as we approach the $2 billion asset threshold.”
